Fresh flowers, soft candles, a bride and groom, 80’s music, lots of laughing, a cupcake rap, an intriguing man, and lots of love.  For those of you who hope to share your life with another and for those of you who cannot even imagine such a thing I have to admit it here and now- Love Matters.

To my friends Jennifer and Brian- I wish you love, laughter, joy, warmth, healthy little ones, and the world to meet you where you choose to stand- Together. Thank you for sharing your wonderful night, your words of encouragement and commitments, and for your ever growing family…

To the rest of you- I wish the same, and you may find yourself blessed to be included in the lives of those who make it their daily mission to Love unconditionally and with hearts wide open-

Welcome, Greetings, and How the Heck are ya?

This week finds me musing over my new cat, and internet connection at home (finally), the DNC, thoughts about the future of the universe, this new book I read on creating your life around your passions, and the fact that it feels like summer has bid a gentle farewell.

So as I sit and ponder the peeling paint on the walls in my humble third floor walk up I cannot help but wonder- what’s it all about.  This cozy feeling that has come over me the last few months, the settled emotion and the lack of “drama”.

I imagine it has something to do with daily prayer, new to me as it were.  Perhaps related to the retreat I took at Kripalu, the first on many affairs we will be having.  Indeed it gains momentum daily as friends and family continue to support me on this wild ride, this journey we call the living.

Today boils down to gratitude.

If all you ever say is “thank you” to god and the universe and each other…certainly that would be sufficient.

Hara Om-
